The price of the Cedros-Alpamayo Trek, for the basic service, in a group of minimum 5 and maximum 8 persons,

Please note that all our prices are fixed and that at QUECHUANDES we are proud to say that we charge all our customers the same price, whether they book in advance by e-mail or if they book last minute at our office. We strongly believe that our customers deserve honesty and should pay the same price since they are getting the same service.
In your trip price, we can include for an extra fee, rental of equipment - such as sleeping bags, inflatable mats, rain jackets, etc. Please see a full list and prices of the equipment we have available for rent here.

What is included in the price?
GUIDE
One fully qualified, certified and experienced mountain guide who speaks Spanish and English if required, and who holds a first aid certificate in mountain rescue.
For the basic service one guide accompanies groups of up to 8 persons.
COOK
A professional cook who prepares a wide variety of healthy and delicious dishes, and who is trained to cook in a hygienic manner.
For longer treks such as the Alpamayo trek, a cook accompanies the group whatever the size.
ASSISTANT COOK/GUIDE
for groups of 7 and 8 persons
FOOD
All food during the trek is provided. We offer a combination of Peruvian and Western dishes. The varied, good-quality, high-energy food prepared by our professional cook is specifically suited to rigorous activity.
Every morning you will be served a cooked breakfast (porridge, eggs, pancakes, french toast, etc.) in the dining tent accompanied by bread, jam, peanut butter, honey, butter and hot drinks (coffee, tea, hot chocolate).
Every morning after breakfast you will be given a bag of snacks for the day (fruit, chocolate, biscuits, cereal bar, dried fruit & nuts, etc.). On some days you will be given a packed lunch with two sandwiches (egg, ham, cheese, avocado, tuna, etc.); on other days you will be served a cooked lunch (causa rellena, tuna pasta salad, stuffed pepper, etc.) with hot drinks, either along the way or at the campsite.
When you get to camp at around 4 pm you will be served hot drinks and a snack (tequeños with guacamole, cake, pretzels, popcorn, etc.) in the dining tent.
For dinner you will be served a soup (cream of pumpkin soup, beef and noodle soup, mixed vegetable soup with quinoa, pasta or semolina, etc.) + main course (lomo saltado, aji de gallina, spaghetti bolognese, trout with mashed potato and boiled vegetables, chicken in mushroom sauce, fried rice, breaded chicken with pumpkin stew, etc.) + dessert (chocolate pudding, rice pudding, crepes, fruit salad, caramel flan, etc.) + hot drinks in the dining tent.
EQUIPMENT
We provide the following:
A good quality high mountain tent (double occupancy), a foam sleeping mat, a dining tent with tables and chairs, a kitchen tent, a cooking stove, all necessary dishes (knifes, forks, spoons, plates, cups, etc.), cooking utensils and pots, a toilet tent, a group medical kit.
MULETEER
The muleteer (arriero) is in charge of loading the donkeys, looking after them and guiding them to camp.
He also helps setting up and breaking camp. For large groups two muleteers accompany the group.
DONKEYS
The number of donkeys provided depends on the size of the group.
You are allowed to bring up to 8 kg of personal belongings that will be loaded on the donkeys.
You will only carry your daypack during the day.
EMERGENCY HORSE
One horse accompanies the group for emergency purposes (such as in need of evacuation, or the horse can be ridden for limited periods of time if a member of the group is unwell).
PRIVATE TRANSPORT
From your hotel in Huaraz to the starting point of trek, and from the finishing point of trek back to your hotel in Huaraz.
OTHER
• Toilet paper for use while in camp
• Napkins
• A cup of coca tea brought to your tent first thing in the morning
• A washing bowl with hot water brought to your tent first thing in the morning or in the afternoon
• A black & white printed itinerary and a map of your trek in the Cordillera Blanca
• A folder containing a topographical map and books about the flora and fauna found in the Cordillera Blanca that can be consulted during the trek
• For advanced bookings a series of PDF’s that we send to you by email, including the trek’s detailed itinerary, information about Huaraz with recommendations of hotels, restaurants, etc., information about Peru, options for acclimatisation hikes

Bottled water is not included, but it is possible to boil water at no extra cost to fill you water bottle with. This can be done in the morning before we set off on the trek and when we reach the camp in the afternoon. If you prefer to use water-purifying tablets, you must bring your own.
If you plan on entering the Huascaran National Park prior to the trek, you can already buy the S/.65 Nuevos Soles entrance ticket as this ticket allows you to go in and out of the park as you wish for up to 21 days.
