Tours de singular belleza por el callejón de huaylas y visita a la lagunas de chinancocha y horconcocha a los 3850 m.s.n.m., a 80 kms de la ciudad de Huaraz, dentro del parque nacional huascaran ; entre las montañas huascaran y huandoy. a la ves se visita las ciudades mas importantes del callejón de huaylas, carhuaz, mancos, ranrahirca, campo santo yungay, caraz y por ultimo el pueblo de artesanos , tarica.

DURATION OF ITINERARY (14 días)


Cordillera Blanca

The service includes reception from our staff in the city of Huaraz, and transportation to the hotel.

1st day.- Acclimatization circuit in the city of Huaraz (3,100 m.)

2nd day.- Transfer from Huaraz to the village of Cashapampa (2,900 m.). We will descend towards the North heading to Conay, passing by its thermal baths until reaching the archeological center of Hualcayán (3,140 m.). We will camp here for the night.

3rd day.- From Hualcayan, we will ascend up to Lake Cullicocha (4,625 m.). We will observe the snow-capped mountains of Milluacocha (5,480 m.), and Santa Cruz (6,259 m.). We will camp by the Lake Cullicocha.

4th day.- From Cullicocha, we will do the first and second overpass very early in the morning (Cullicocha -4,850 m. and Los Cedros 4,750) both are not too far from each other. After the overpasses we will enter Los Cedros stream valley, where we will cross part of its dense vegetation.

5th day. - From Los Cedros stream valley we can continue until reaching the Alpamayo stream valley, where the trail will direct us to lake Jancarurish ( 4,250 m.). In the journey we will observe diverse archeological centers; moreover we will have a nice view of the snow-capped mountains Pilanco (5,273 m.), and Millhuacocha (5,480 m.). Once we arrive to Lake Jancarurish, we will observe the pyramidal figure of the ALPAMAYO (5,947 m – from this point is where the Alpamayo picture was taken and considered the most beautiful mountain of the world). The snow-capped mountains Jancarurish (5,578 m.), Tayapampa (5,657 m.), and Quitaraju (6,036 m.) can also be seen here in their entire splendor. We will camp by the lake.

6th day.- From Lake Jancarurish we will do the third overpass, Jancarurish ( 4,830 m.). Following a not so evident trail we will arrive to the fourth overpass Mesapampa ( 4,500 m.), from here we can observe the snow-capped mountains Rinrihirca (5,810 m.), Pucahirca ( 6,050 m.), Jancarurish, and Tayapampa. Descent to Lake Safuna, where we will camp for the night.

7th day.- Lake Safuna and descent to the village of Pomabamba ( 2,950 m.), passing by the beautiful Huillca Valley. Prior to that we will ascend to the fifth overpass (4,600). Once in the village there is the option of obtaining more edibles. At this point we are on East side of the cordillera blanca (opposite side of the view from Huaraz). From here, the scenery of the Cordillera is impressive.

8th day.- From Pomabamba a strong difference in elevation will take us to the archeological center of Yaino (Wari culture 800 - 1,200 años a.c., altitude - 4,200m.), Here the snow-capped mountain Pucaraju is predominant (5,025 m.). We will camp in the surroundings of the archeological center.

9th day.- From Yaino a path will take us to Pucaraju overpass (4,630) from there we descend towards the Huaripampa stream valley, where we could either take the trail that descends to Lake Llanganuco or Lake Morococha, according to you liking.

10th day.- Huaripampa or Morococha Lake - Pampamachay or Quishuarpamapa, in the first option we will descend to the Lake Llanganuco, and in the second one we head towards the Santa Cruz stream Valley. Camping.

11th day.-Pampamachay or Quishuarpamap – Demanda stream valley or Ichicocha (Sta. Cruz stream valley)

12th day.- Demanda stream valley or Ichicocha - Llanganuco -Huaraz. or Cashapampa Huaraz

13th day- Huaraz

14th day .-Huaraz - Lima

A correct acclimatization is indispensable for this trek. The main objective will be to reach the Jancarurish stream valley to be able to observe the Alpamayo, considered the most beautiful mountain in the world in the photographic contest held in Munich, 1966. Along the trek we will come upon several natural attractions like the lakes Cullicocha and Jancarurish, the snow-capped mountains Santa Cruz, Quitaraju, Jancarurish and los Cedros stream valley.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Huaraz (3100 m .masl) – Hualcayan (3,140 masl.)
Day 2: Hualcayan – Osoruri (4,400 masl)
Day 3: Osoruri – Alpamayo stream valley (3,800 masl)
Day 4: Alpamayo stream valley.
Day 5: Alpamayo stream valley- Osoruri
Day 6: Osoruri - Huaraz
